Abgineh Winter Plant-based Emulsifiable Oil
Mode of Action: Winter oil eliminates insects, mites, and their eggs through contact. Pests that attack the plant after oil application are not affected by the oil’s residues. The insecticidal action of this oil is primarily physical, but it may also be chemical. This physical effect can be explained as suffocating the insect, as it closes the insect’s respiratory openings, limiting their access to oxygen. Consequently, the gaseous exchanges required for metabolic processes are cut off, ultimately leading to the insect’s death.
Usage: This combination, with the opinion of a plant pathologist, is used to control various types of mites, scale insects, aphids, psyllids, leafhoppers, and greenhouse whiteflies.
